Purple dead nettle
Native to Europe and Asia, in North America its known as an invasive weed of lawns! However, these
young plants have edible tops and leaves, good in salads or in stir fry as a spring vegetable. High in vitamins, iron and fiber .
Its called a dead nettle since it is not of the variety of nettles that sting! I would hate to meet one of those!
