Dec 16 Roasted My boss sent me pears from Harry and David as a Christmas gift. I decided to roast a couple for dessert. Yummy!

Nov 3 Q=Quartz I had no idea for today except "quarter!". Then I remembered I had a piece of decorative quartz rock, sitting on the bookshelf, begging to be photographed!

Sept 16 J= Jack This was an alternate J shot for yesterday that I decided not to go with. My boyfriend really liked it though so I thought I would post it today. A few inquired as to how I achieved the tilt with yesterday's juice shot. Both the camera and the juice were set up at an angle so all would appear level in the photo except the juice itself. Old school photography trick!

Sept 8 I=Inches This was my first idea when it came time for the 'I' shot! A bit of focus stacking added a little more DOF to the macro shot. Thanks for viewing and commenting. Have a great Sunday!

Apr 19 Loneliness Maybe its just me but when I look at this there is a feel of loneliness and sadness. Maybe because of the simple light which reminds me of simple living, maybe on a farm, having a meal after a long hard day of work. However, this is dinner last night at Long Horn Steak house! This is a chopped steak in wine sauce topped with onion straws and a roasted sweet potato. Far from the simple life of a farmer! Thanks for the wonderful comments of my dandelion portrait yesterday! April 1 April blossoms Its spring again and spring flowers are abundant in NC! These are from my Bradford pear tree, one of the first trees to flower in the spring. Last month everything was white with flowering dogwoods and pear trees.This month everything will be yellow from the pollen! Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend!!

Mar 18 Linked I read an interesting article in the April issue of Outdoor Photographer magazine on focus stacking, so I thought I would give it a try. This was my very 1st attempt which is a result of 4 images at different focal points. I think just fell in I love with my macro lens all over again! BTW, this is one of my bracelets I wear most often.. Happy Monday everyone! Its rainy here but it will still be a great day!

Mar 11 Blue crystal I decided to experiment with light painting over the weekend. A bit harder than it sounds but lots of fun. I used a led flashlight and a 1 sec exposure in a dark room to get this result. Happy Monday everyone...hope everyone had a relaxing weekend! As always your comments are much appreciated!

Feb 1 Kanki Went out to dinner Wednesday to celebrate my birthday at my favorite restaurant! Great food! Unfortunately didn't get any good shots of the chef cooking and entertaining, needed a wide angle...But I knew there would be low light so I took my 60mm f/2.8 lens which performed very well!! Thanks for the comments and critiques of my photo yesterday!!

Jan 21 Happy colors I found some old marbles I used to collect as a kid. I have about 50 or so of many different colors and variations colors. I used the natural light from a window to illuminate for the shot. Thanks for the wonderful comments on the "The Mist" shot from yesterday!!

Aug 26 celebrate life i decided to play around with some studio attempts today. Not quite the vision i had but somewhat interesting. The glasses were a gift at the closing of the purchase of my first home along with a bottle of champagne, which is long gone!
