Alien Skies
Alien Skies
Feb 3
Mammatus clouds are often associated with severe weather and these lived up to their reputation by producing a few minutes of sleet and rain. These clouds, composed primarily of ice, are interesting because they’re formed by sinking air while most clouds are formed by rising air!
FYI - its a little grainy since this is a cell phone capture but I had to share this phenomenon!
