Ending the day...

This fisherman slowly made his way to the docks after a day of fishing at Falls Lake. The lighting was boring so I decided to use an orange filter to make the scene a little more interesting.

As we were leaving the beach, I looked back over my shoulder and saw these winter reeds with the pastel colors of the setting sun as their backdrop.

Moon setting

This was taken about 30 min before sunrise at Myrtle beach. I was pleasantly surprised to see the moon low in the sky since I was thinking only of photographing the sunrise when I crawled out of bed! I added a little pizzazz to the moon with a Topaz filter.

Southern snow

This was taken on Feb 17 after a small wintry event in NC. No snow accumulated at my house!! This is about 45 min north of the city. Imagine my surprise to see snow while we were out for an afternoon drive!

In keeping with my blue theme, here is another view of the beautiful Atlantic ocean from our beach trip earlier this month. I loved patterns in the sand, especially those underwater! Best viewed in X3.

This was taken back at the beginning of Feb during our stay in Myrtle beach. On this particular morning I was lucky enough to find clouds in the morning sky! Nothing is as magnificent as a sunrise over the ocean!

Milk & Cereal

This dairy cow just seemed to know to move in front of the grain bin when i pulled out my camera!! Maybe because this is next to the Fearrington house restaurant, NC's most famous restaurant, which has beem featured in many fine dining magazines. I guess the cows are used to the paparazzi! Best viewed in X2 and above.

The tree of the dead

My boyfriend discovered this tree a while back and thought i would like it. Saturday we drove about 30 minutes out of the city in the rain so i could capture an image.If this tree could talk, im sure it would have an interesting story! The crow in the tree was an added bonus!

The wilderness

We hiked to the top where an overlook existed where we could look down on Linville Falls below. Breathtaking views in every direction!
A rain shower had just passed, but not before dumping most of its rain on us during our hike to the overlook! The views were worth it!
