The Black widow
Springs brings beautiful flowers, but it also brings spring pests!! I was cleaning around my mailbox and my boyfriend yells "Spider!" Mortified as he points to this black widow which was about 4 inches from where I was pulling weeds, I run to my arsenal of potent bug sprays, because in my mind it must DIE!. Out of the blue he yells bring the camera and I'm thinking "what the...!'' So here is what I saw when I recognized it as a black widow!

on May 25, 2013I remember these guys when I was a kid and lived in California. I had to feed the horses and there were plenty of them around. I hated them, they were scary. You could always tell when one was close because the web is so tough you can't hardly break it.
